Yoshkar-Ola. The city hosts the Interregional League of Journalists forum
More actors are coming to Yoshkar- Ola these days to take part in a fest of Finno-Ugric Theaters. Many journalists are also visiting the city as editors-in-chief of the newspapers comprising the Interregional League of Journalists came to Yoshkar-Ola to take part in the journalists’ forum. Such meetings are held regularly, the editor-in-chief of the «Mariyskaya Pravda " newspaper Vasily Panchenko told Region-12.
A round table devoted to the problems of theaters and development of national drama was held on November, 22nd together with a press conference featuring journalists from Mary El. The guests had an extensive cultural program, they visited the local Ethnography Museum and a performance by Mordovian Tyushtya National Drama Theatre based on the "Mastorava" epic poem at the Shketan drama theatre.
The Interregional League of Journalists is created on the basis of the Volga (Privolzhsky) League of Journalists and unites newspapers of twenty five Russian regions. The main objectives of the league are protection of freedom of speech and the press, working out a legal basis for media activity, promotion of journalistic ethics and assistance to professional growth of young journalists.
